Linda Fairstein’s 20th Alex Cooper Novel To Hit Bookstores in January 2019

Linda Fairstein Blood Oath

Next January, Coop is back in Blood Oath, the all-new thriller from New York Times bestselling novelist Linda Fairstein.

Assistant D.A. Alexandra “Coop” Cooper was last seen in Fairstein’s bestselling novel Deadfall, which came out last July. Fairstein — who was chief of the Sex Crimes Unit of the district attorney’s office in Manhattan for more than two decades before publishing her debut novel, Final Jeopardy, in 1996 — will not be releasing a new novel in 2018. She did, however, sign a new two-book deal in February to remain with Dutton. Blood Oath will be the first book as part of that new deal, with the 21st book in the series set for publication in 2020.

Plot details have been hard to come by, but it sounds like Coop will be running for Manhattan D.A. in Blood Oath, which makes sense given the plot detail in Deadfall, and is something Fairstein’s fans have speculated about for some time now.

More plot information, along with a link to pre-order Blood Oath, should be available in the coming weeks and months, so make sure to check back for updates soon!
