Bestselling Author Joseph Finder Signs Three-Book Deal to Remain with Dutton

I just confirmed with Joseph Finder’s agent that the New York Times bestselling author has signed a new three-book deal to remain with Dutton Books for the foreseeable future. Finder’s upcoming novel, titled Guilty Minds, is set to be released on July 19th and marks the return of his series protagonist, “private spy” Nick Heller (previously seen in Vanished and Buried Secrets).

From what I understand, the first book of Finder’s new deal will not be a sequel to Guilty Minds. Instead it sounds like his 2017 book will be a standalone novel about a man caught up in the middle of a government conspiracy. After that things seem unclear, but I for one hope that we see much more of Nick Heller in the future.

While this is great news for fans, it’s also worth pointing out that this a strong move by Dutton, a division of Penguin Books, who currently has some of the biggest mystery and thriller authors in the genre singed to their imprint. Harlan Coben, Brad Taylor, Lisa Gardener and, of course, Joe Finder headline an impressive roster for Dutton Books.

Congrats to all the parties involved, including the fans who can now rest assured that we’ll have plenty more stories from Joe Finder in the future. Pre-order Guilty Minds now, and get it on June 7th!
