Exclusive: Robert Crais Announces ‘A Dangerous Man’ Book Tour

Robert Crais © Aaron RapoportOn August 6th, 2019, Joe Pike and Elvis Cole return in A Dangerous Man, the latest novel from New York Times bestselling author Robert Crais.

Though it follows Crais’ last book, The Wanted (2017), A Dangerous Man features Joe Pike as the protagonist instead of Cole, who takes on a supporting role much like in The Watchman (2007) and The First Rule (2010). The story follows Pike who, through a chance encounter, happens to be in the right place at the right time to help a bank teller named Isabel Roland—who is nearly abducted when she steps out for her lunch break.

Thankfully, Joe is able to intervene and help her, and eventually, the two men are arrested. But instead of living happily ever after, Pike quickly learns that the two attackers are both found dead after posting bail, and that Isabel has gone missing . . .

Calling upon his longtime friend and partner Elvis Cole, he and Pike go looking for answers, but end up finding more than they bargained for when they uncover a “twisted family story that involves corporate whistleblowing, huge amounts of cash, the Witness Relocation Program, and a long line of lies.”

While his latest novel is currently available for pre-order everywhere, Robert Crais will be embarking on a lengthy book tour beginning on Tuesday, August 6th, giving plenty of fans the opportunity to head out and meet him at one of his fifteen scheduled stops this summer and have their copy signed in-person. (If you’re not able to make it to any of the signings, most of the bookstores he’ll be appearing at do take orders over the phone, and can ship, sometimes even internationally, to you.)

See Crais’s whole touch schedule below, which includes some areas he hasn’t visited before (like Ann Arbor) or hasn’t visited in quite some time (like Milwaukee and Denver).
