Clive Cussler’s Isaac Bell Series to Continue in 2019 with ‘The Titanic Secret’

Isaac Bell, Clive Cussler’s no-nonsense private investigator with the Van Dorn Detective Agency (set in early 20th century America) is set to return to action on September 10th, 2019 when The Titanic Secret hits bookstores.

Bell, who last starred in the 2017 novel The Cutthroat, which saw him chase after Jack The Ripper, will now take on his 11th case in The Titanic Secret, co-written by Jack Du Brul. Previously, author Justin Scott had been Cussler’s co-writer for this franchise, helping to pen nine of the first ten books. It’s an interesting switch up because Du Brul, 50, has already written seven books with Cussler, 87, all of which were part of his Oregon Files series.

Du Brul (The Lightning Stones, 2015, etc.) first came on board the Oregon in 1998, replacing Cussler’s former writing partner Craig Dirgo, with the novel Dark Watch. After Mirage (2013) he exited the series, and Cussler brought on Boyd Morrison—who has now written four books, with a fifth, the 14th in the series, set for publication this November.

While we’re still waiting for the final cover art, the official plot details are for The Titanic Secret are available. Check them out below.

His dangerous quest to answer the riddle leads to a larger puzzle centered on byzanium, a rare element with extraordinary powers and of virtually incalculable value.
